Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into chunks
  • 1/4 cup orange juice*
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce, LaChoy is gluten free
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 8 skewers
  • *I use freshly squeezed orange juice to reduce the sugar content, but bottled juice works too.

Instructions

  • Combine the orange juice, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili garlic sauce, garlic and ginger in a small bowl whisk until smooth.
  • Place the chicken in a large plastic bag and pour half of the sauce over the chicken. Reserve the remaining orange sesame sauce for brushing while cooking.
  • Marinade the chicken at least one hour, up to 24 hours for the best flavor.
  • When ready to cook heat your grill to medium high heat (about 400 degrees F)
  • Thread the chunks of chicken on each skewer and grill 3-4 minutes on each side.
  • Brush with the remaining sauce each time you turn. When chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165 degree F remove them from the grill and brush one more time with the Orange Sesame sauce, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

If using wooden skewers soak at least 30 minutes before cooking to prevent the skewers from burning.
