One Pan Shrimp Pasta with tangy Feta and fresh Arugula is the perfect weeknight meal! Ready in 15 minutes!
Growing up we always had dinner sitting at the table, all six of us. Actually, I didn’t really know that having a family dinner is kind of a lost art because it was just normal to us. So many of my very best memories were spent sitting around the dinning room table with a big home cooked meal from Mom.
Now that Mr. Maebell and I have home of our own I try very hard to keep the tradition alive. There is just something so comforting about siting at the table with a big pasta dish with someone that you love, especially after a long day.
I whipped up this dish right after our vacation where we had basically lived off snack food for a week. I cannot tell you have wonderful it was to have a warm and delicious pasta dish swimming in a rich and creamy tomato sauce packed with cheese and pasta! It was the perfect way to settle back into our routine!
This dish can be made in under 15 minutes and in just one pan! It makes it an ideal dish for busy weeknights! Here is how we make it!
First, start with great ingredients. This dish uses just a handful of simple ingredients so quality is key. For the tomato sauce I use Ragu Traditional Pasta Sauce, a great sauce starts with great ingredients. Ragu is an authentic Italian sauce with richer taste and aroma and richer texture than other sauces because it’s made the traditional way and with the same standards set by Assunta in 1937. Ragu lets you see, smell, and savor our longstanding tradition of fresh taste. Instead of using shortcuts, we follow Assunta’s secret family recipe slow-simmering vine-ripened tomatoes, garlic, and fragrant herbs. It also contains no artificial flavors, artificial colors, or high fructose corn syrup, just real delicious food.
In addition to the sauce I add a touch of white wine and cream to the base of the sauce in addition to penne noodles and pasta! I let these ingredients simmer away slowly so the pasta and shrimp absorb all of those delicious Italian flavors. After a few minutes I finish off the pasta dish by stirring in fresh arugula and tangy feta. The combination of the sweet creamy tomato sauce, al dente pasta, plump shrimp and tangy feta are unstoppable! It is the perfect dish to satisfy your families comfort food cravings!
